Cookie Notice

This Notice explains how Langa Library uses cookies, browser storage, and similar technologies.

1. What these technologies are

Cookies are small data files stored by a browser. Local storage, session storage, service-worker caches, and similar tools can remember settings or support application functions. Some expire when a session ends; others remain for a defined period.

2. Categories

Strictly necessary

Required for authentication, session continuity, security, load balancing, consent records, fraud prevention, and core navigation. Disabling them may prevent the Services from working.

Preferences and accessibility

Remember language, theme, font size, reading mode, accessibility choices, shelf layout, and similar settings.

Functional reader storage

May remember reading position, temporary offline state, selected translation settings, or other user-requested functionality.

Analytics

Help us understand aggregate performance, reliability, navigation, and feature use. Where required, analytics are disabled until consent is given.

Marketing or advertising

Langa Library does not currently use third-party behavioral advertising technologies. If this practice changes, this Notice and the consent interface will be updated before activation.

3. Consent

Where applicable law requires consent, non-essential technologies will remain off until the user chooses to enable them. Refusing optional technologies must not block core access unless the technology is genuinely necessary for the requested feature.

The consent interface should offer equivalent accept and reject choices, granular categories, a persistent settings link, a record of the user's choice, and a way to withdraw consent as easily as it was given.

4. Cookie inventory

The detailed cookie and storage inventory remains under technical verification during this public review. Questions and corrections may be sent to langalibrary.dev@gmail.com.

5. Browser and device controls

Users may delete or block storage through browser or device settings. Doing so can sign the user out, reset preferences, disable offline features, or impair security and reader continuity.

6. Third-party services

Identity, payment, media, analytics, or embedded-content providers may set technologies under their own notices. Optional embeds should not activate third-party tracking before an appropriate user action or consent where required.
