Automated Features & AI Notice
Langa Library may use automated systems for search ranking, recommendation, metadata matching, duplicate detection, topic and language classification, OCR, transcription, read-aloud, translation, summarization, moderation prioritization, and quality review.
1. Limitations
Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, anachronistic, culturally insensitive, or based on incorrect metadata. Translation may lose tone, ambiguity, style, context, or specialized meaning. OCR and read-aloud may misread names, historical spelling, page order, drama dialogue, poetry, tables, or marginalia.
2. Verification
Users must review automated output before relying on, publishing, submitting, or distributing it. For legal, medical, financial, safety-critical, scholarly, archival, or publication use, obtain qualified human review.
3. Labels and provenance
Where practical, we label generated, machine-assisted, unverified, or community-reviewed content. Product records should retain tool, model or provider, version where available, date, input source, reviewer status, and correction history when provenance is important.
4. User material
You must have the right to process submitted material. Do not upload confidential, private, restricted, or copyrighted material to an automated feature unless the feature, provider terms, and your authority permit it.
5. Personal data
Personal data used by automated features is governed by the Privacy Policy. Before activation, Langa Library must document providers, purposes, input categories, retention, training use, human access, transfer locations, security, and opt-out or alternative routes where applicable.
6. Significant decisions
Automated systems should not make a legally or similarly significant adverse decision about a user without the safeguards required by applicable law, such as meaningful information, human review, and an appeal route.
7. Corrections
Report an error through the page feedback tool or langalibrary.team@gmail.com. High-impact identity, rights, safety, and attribution errors should receive priority review.
8. Documented provider summary
- No external translation or automated-processing provider is currently declared in this general policy configuration.
Product-specific notices may provide more precise information for individual automated features.
