Contributors’ Corner

Read, create, correct, and help the library grow.

Langa Library is built not only from books, but also from the people who help describe, repair, design, verify, translate, test, and preserve them.

Community Covers

The first contribution program.

My Books

Personalize books with accepted community work.

Future-ready

Many small ways to help

First community call

Help give older books a new face

Many older books do not have a usable cover. Instead of copying uncertain cover artwork from the internet, Langa will invite contributors to create original community covers.

Accepted work will keep its contributor credit. The creator may use the cover in My Books and share a public contribution page.

Ways to contribute

Start with something manageable

Community covers begin first. Other contribution types are shown now so the page can grow without being redesigned around one temporary program.

Calls, reviews, and updates

Contributors will later be able to follow books, contribution types, projects, and review status without turning the page into a noisy social feed.

A community project is accepting participants.
Your accepted work is now visible in the library.

Community roles

More than one way to support

Contributor

Creates or verifies work attached to books and library data.

Supporter

Helps programs, equipment, outreach, mentoring, or operations.

Reviewer and mentor

Reviews specialized work and helps newer contributors improve.

Participation and credit

The community must remain open enough to welcome beginners and structured enough that credit, certificates, and access have real meaning.

Verified contributions

Work is credited only after it has been reviewed and accepted.

Your work remains visible

Credit follows the cover, correction, list, or contribution wherever appropriate.

Personal and shared value

Use accepted work in My Books while also improving the shared library.

Student and early-career programs

Build real work, not a decorative certificate.

Future programs may connect verified contributions with public portfolios, mentoring, project milestones, and certificates that link back to completed work.
